Before you choose
Compare the header, column width and use of color. Modern is a visual category, not a hiring advantage or a particular industry’s rule.
Choose how much space the header needs
A split header separates identity and contact information. Try a long headline and address before you commit; they take more room than the short sample.
Keep long evidence readable
A rail or strong header can look balanced with short entries and crowded with long ones. Compare your most detailed project across designs.
Decide about a photo deliberately
Some designs include photo space. Check the preview without a photo if you do not need one; do not add a headshot simply because the design offers it.
Check style in the submitted file
Color and columns should support the content you need to communicate.
Inspect the full document
Review every page at a readable zoom. Confirm that the accent has enough contrast and that long links, dates and section names stay clear.
Keep an editable-file requirement in view
Several visual designs have limited Word support. If DOCX is required, start from the Word category instead of assuming the PDF layout will transfer exactly.
Questions about this format
Will a modern template work with every ATS?
That has not been established. Follow the application instructions and verify extracted fields when the employer’s form shows them.
Can I change the color later?
The builder offers the controls supported by the selected design. Review the document after changing its styling; content stays separate from the template.
Is a photograph required?
No category requires you to add a photo. Use the application’s requirements and choose a design whose photo treatment matches your needs.
