How we create and maintain our resume guidance
TrueResume publishes resume examples and practical writing guidance to help you make a truthful application. Here is how to read our examples, understand their limits and report a correction.
Who is responsible
TrueResume is responsible for the guidance and examples on this site. We use AI assistance for research, drafting and editing. We do not present an AI-generated author as a recruiter or career expert. A source check or a software test is not independent professional review. Unless a page names a reviewer and their scope, it should not be treated as professionally reviewed career or credential advice.
What the examples represent
Our sample resumes are fictional teaching examples. Names, work histories and results illustrate how to describe experience; they are not customer resumes, testimonials or proof that someone was hired. Real institution or tool names do not imply endorsement.
- Use only experience, qualifications and results that are true for you.
- Keep course work, independent projects, supervised placements and employment clearly labelled.
- Replace illustrative numbers with evidence you can support, or describe the work without a number.
Sources and recommendations
Researched role pages link to their references and explain what each source supports. We prefer occupational authorities, professional bodies and original product documentation. A US occupational profile is not an Indian hiring rule; a historical qualification document is not current eligibility advice.
Recommendations about wording, section order and examples are editorial judgement. They are separate from source-backed facts. Follow the specific vacancy and application instructions. For teaching, nursing or other regulated work, verify current requirements with the relevant authority.
AI assistance and product claims
AI output can contain mistakes. Review suggested wording before accepting it, and check that it preserves your actual role, contribution and credentials. Do not include private customer, patient or student information in public examples or portfolios.
Resume previews and editable examples use the same sample content. Export options depend on the selected template; an editable Word layout may differ from its PDF. No template, review score or writing suggestion guarantees an interview, a job offer or compatibility with every applicant tracking system.
Updates and corrections
A “sources checked” date describes a source check, not expert approval or a promise that external requirements have stayed the same. We update guidance when evidence, product behaviour or a material error calls for a change. Deploying the site alone does not justify a new review date.
Report a correction to support@trueresume.io. Include the page address, the statement that needs attention and a supporting source if available. Please omit private resume or account information. We assess the report against the source and affected content; corrections may change the guidance, example and preview together.
